In Networking Emails, Should my Current Summer Internship be on my Resume or Should I just Indicate it in my Email?

I want to send out networking emails with my resume attached, but I don't know whether to include my current summer internship on it right now since I have not done too much yet. Should I just indicate what I am doing this summer in my email?

Thank you!
