Incredibly Nervous for Upcoming IB Internship

I signed my SA 25 IB offer last spring, and since then haven't thought about the internship too much. However, now that I am 2 months out, I am starting to feel incredibly nervous/anxious. I am an anxious person to begin with, but the idea of not getting a return is very scary. I am socially anxious as well, so I am scared about interacting with seniors and coming across as likable. Obviously, I am willing to work as hard as I need to in order to secure a FT offer, but I am afraid my social anxiety and overall nervousness will hold me back. Before any of you say "IB isn't the career path for you", I am pretty social and outgoing with people I know and trust, but derail with new people in stressful situations. Any tips?

Obviously no one likes the feeling of being nervous, but a positive way to spin it is that being nervous is a sign that you care. If you can acknowledge that internally, then it’s all about externalizing that acknowledgement through tangible actions and showing just how much you care about doing well and getting the FT offer.

Intern best practices have been covered to death on dozens of threads, look over those and just remember to take it day by day and week by week. Maintain the mindset that your job is to make the lives of the people around you easier and be proactive about it. Finally, grab coffee with as many people as you can, even the seniors (however scary that may seem).

Go kill it this summer.
