Nowadays I believe Intel has stronger workstation cpus while AMD is better for gaming. It’s been a while since I was plugged into the pc-building community tho, you’ll find better answers on Reddit.
intel sucked compared to amd a few yrs ago but now any modern chip is fine.
Get a mac if its in the price range
Otherwise i’d say stick it out with an AMD
Newest generation Intel chips are having significant issues. Get the P14s with the Ryzen 5 or 7 chip.
Why not Ryzen 9?
They just redid the naming convention - so if a 2025 then go for the 9XXX.
IIRC the 79XX is the highest end laptop chip for the 2024 model year. The second digit is the generation of architecture. I have a 7840U.
