Interaction with firm during training
Hey guys,
I'm starting with a BB firm this summer (FT) and we have training starting in July, continuing for about 8 weeks. I'm wondering when the new analysts actually "meet" everyone from the firm (older analysts, associates, MDs) and how much, if any, interaction there is between analysts and the others during training.
In other words, do analysts pretty much go do their own thing during training and then are oriented to the firm afterwards, or are they integrated right away and trained within the firm?
I know this is a weird question, but I have a specific reason for asking and would appreciate any responses.

I worked at a middle market iBank and during training (depending on the bank), you spend the majority of your time with your class of analysts. I've heard of people in training starting to work right away, but usually they don't throw you to the sharks until after the training is complete.
So I would expect 90% of your interactions to be with other analysts in your class...some of the people training youmight actually be associates at the firm, but I'm not positive how all BBs do this (and I'm sure some vary).
What is training like? What do the eight weeks compose of?
