International Worker's Visa: Easier to Be a Canadian?

Can't help but notice that Canadian people seem to have an easier time getting their work visas in the U.S., compared to people from other country. Do they get something called a TN-1? How does this work? Is it really easier (which is definitely a good thing) ?

TN visa is what most Canadian analysts are on. Can be a little tricky because technically you can't be granted this visa as an "Investment Banking Analyst". You need the backing of the firm to change the offer letter to either Economist or Accountant. But once you have that it is relatively easier to obtain.

To address the comment above, yes, it is only valid for three years. After the three year mark you have to re-apply but there is no limit to how many times you can re-new the visa.

TN1 is a non-immigration visa which does not convert to green card. He's right, you can keep renewing your visa until you lose your job. I'd rather request for the sponsorship from the get go, which is why I am still in Canada lol. Asking for H1B sponsorship will decrease your chance of receiving an offer, whereas not asking for one does not provide green card - it is a trade off
