Interview Weaknesses
Hi guys,
I am trying to prepare for the traditional "tell me about your weaknesses" interview questions, and have come up with some ideas - but I don't know if they're "acceptable" or deal breakers:
1) Micromanagement - sometimes I have a certain difficulty in delegating tasks to interns/analysts, trying to control tiny little details of the task they are performing so it comes out with the best quality possible. Lately tried to be more confident with the work of others and understand that each person has its own style. Is this acceptable for an answer?
2) Being impatient with repetitive questions or intern/analysts doing the same mistakes again.
3) Sometimes taking too much time to send out a deliverable - reviewing many times to make sure everything is correct, but taking longer to finish. Learned to become more confident with the work and created more efficient methods of checking (for example, creating automatic "checks" in Excel, review routines, etc.).
What do you think guys?
Thanks
Anyone?
Reword the point about delegating by stating you like taking ownership of projects and at times took on too much and ended up doing more work and working later than others in group settings at school. You can then say you're working on this by communicating more and being aware of your own work constraints before taking on more work.
