Intl LSE Grad | BB PWM Offer | Seeking Advice

Hi everyonel,Happy New Year!

I could really use some advice from this group.

I’m from a South Asian country and recently graduated with a Master’s degree from LSE. I’ve been fortunate to receive an offer for an entry-level Analyst role in Private Wealth Management at a bulge-bracket bank in London, starting in Q2. I’m genuinely grateful for this opportunity, especially knowing how difficult the market is for international students in the UK.

That said, my long-term goal has always been IB/PE . Over the past 6 months, I’ve been actively networking across London and Dubai, and my plan was to travel to Dubai this month to pursue an internship on the investment side until my role starts in UK.

However, I’m now facing a challenge: due to recent visa restrictions on my passport country, my Dubai visit visa application may be rejected. If that happens, I won’t be able to stay in London as my visa expires soon, and returning home isn’t an option for personal reasons.

I’m therefore considering alternatives such as Riyadh, Doha, or Bahrain, and would really appreciate insights on:
• Which of these (or any other location) would be the most realistic to move to on savings and pursue unstructured/off-cycle internships or even Ft in finance?
• Where networking and breaking into boutique or regional investment roles might be most feasible without formal programs?

My goal is to secure an investment-focused role (full-time or off-cycle) in the coming months even at a regional boutique or small shop, before my BB PWM role starts. If that doesn’t materialise, I would still proceed with the BB offer.

I’d really appreciate any advice, perspectives, or experiences you’re willing to share. This would mean a lot as I navigate a few big decisions.

Thank you in advance

Yea, been thinking about this a lot lately. Do you think PWM at BB in London is still a better option than a role based in Middle East lets say which is more investment focused or technical at a regional shop?
