I keep getting spammed by this company to sign up for their supposed “IB expert” roles for a good amount of money. Has anyone worked w/ them before? Extra cash is always nice but feels scammy for some reason. I’m aware of the startup but more curious about the actual “work” they’re paying for.

Yes I worked with them. They paid a little but then said more money was coming but have yet to pay. I think they may still owe me something like $100. I have been pencils down for months now until they pay me. I am not so interested in extending more credit to a firm that over promises and can’t actually pay the bills they said they would pay.
Otherwise I thought it was a fine company potentially doing some interesting work.

Can you go into a little detail of what they asked you to do? Were you working with like ex-MDs or something that would check the “quality” of your work?
And fwiw just as a follow up to my post above, I think KKR may also owe me like $250 from my time doing business with them 10+ years ago! lol.
I got an email from like a new accountant there years ago asking me if the invoice had been paid. I said I don’t think so and then I don’t think they paid it even then.
I am happy to forgive these guys the money but would prefer they just paid the money they said they would pay.
