Hello Everyone, I am currently doing my Masters in Finance from a top B-school, and have an internship offer from a very small (6 person team) investment bank in New York and a medium-large IM firm. I want to work in an investment bank eventually for full-time and wanted to know if I intern at the IM firm, will I be able to get a full-time IB role at a boutique firm. the reason I am not very inclined to take the IB internship is the size of the firm and the number of deals (1 deal in 2018, 2 in 2017). The IM firm is not looking to hire full-time and wants help in a specific valuation project, but I will get some ad-hoc work from the analysts which will help in my learning. So should I take the IM internship for more learning or take the IB internship to tell my future recruiters that I know IB and want to do IB for real.
