Is it fine to get multiple referrals?
Have been networking, and one ED said he could refer me to IBD at a BB. Likewise, I just recently spoke to another VP in another front-office division who is likely to give me a referral.
Ill be applying to IBD and the other position, and if I get IBD, ill choose IBD. Is it fine to have a referral from both? Would it further increase my chances for an interview or would I be burned for asking 2 ppl from 2 diff divisions for a referral?
I don't see a problem in this as I have done it myself. It is likely that the team will see a better fit with one role over the other. But not the worst idea to go ahead with two roles. Is your profile a file to both roles, in your opinion?
