Is it possible to go into IB after interning in Commercial Banking?

Hi! I'm a junior who has recently accepted an offer for a commercial banking internship next Summer, but had been prepping for an investment banking analyst role. I'm still eager to break into IB, but with only a semester-long IB internship on my resume, is it possible to get a full-time IB role next year? What are other potential career paths where I can apply my CB skills or any other fields that are easier to break into than IB? (I go to a good college with an average GPA). Thanks!!!
