Is it worth it for me?
So a lot of banks have begun releasing applications for internships. As a rising sophomore who is non-diversity and has no connections, should I even bother to apply? Also, can you apply more than once? If I apply this year and get rejected, are there any banks that don't allow a second application?
There's literally no downside in applying year after year. In fact it actually helps you as it shows continued interest in the company. Second, there is a better chance of getting an internship if you go to a target than if you are a diversity candidate. Just FYI.
For soph internships? I'd argue there's a better chance if you're woman/diversity cause most of the sophomore internships are for diversity.
How heavily have you networked and how strong are your connections at places you're looking to apply?
Don't have either
As the above guy said, it doesnt hurt to apply for sophomore SA then junior SA next year. But I mean, if you havent done any networking I dont know how you'd expect anything this cycle, especially with how unstructured sophomore recruiting can be. Good luck though
