Is it worth starting a M&A advisory club
I am a student at the University of Waterloo and will be doing the audit for my first co-op. I want to pursue a career in IB and was thinking of starting a M&A advisory club for small businesses. I wanted to ask if this is worth doing or if this is too ambitious and do I try to string along a upper year student who has done M&A advisory to start the club with me.
I don’t think it is too helpful and you are better off networking more or joining an established finance oriented club instead and network with the upperclassmen instead. What’s the small business angle?
Change ur name dawg. I personally don’t think it’s worth the effort unless u can’t get into the existing finance clubs and no one is willing to answer ur cold emails.
If u are just super passionate about this I guess do ur thing. If its purely for career purposes it’s not worth it
