Is there a point to networking with people from a different office at the same position+firm
Let's say I'm trying to get an internship at a bank in their NY office, and all the alumni from my school working at that bank work in the LA office. Do you think I should bother contacting them? Will they have any role in the recruiting process if they're not at the same office? Does this also apply to closer offices like the SF and LA offices? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I always network with people in other offices, especially in other countries. Your internal network is valuable in many future career decisions.
It's either input from a colleague, or he knows someone you need, or you need a new job in that location. you never know.
Thank you. I apreciate the advice.
