Jefferies 2020 Bonuses
curious what the bonuses were like across the different buckets. Healthcare and Lev Fin were crushing it so I imagine higher bonuses? would love some insight though!

Bottom bucket was $0, not sure how many qualified for this (maybe bottom 10-15%?)
Unsure on range, I got $55k (down 5k from what I was expecting, was told I was upper half of 1st years). Not in HC or Levfin tho
Definitely follows the trend w summer analysts, not sure if 2nd years were hit nearly as hard
Will follow-up if I hear more, things are a bit tense, would imagine some 1st years ditching the bank or are recruiting for immediate starts ASAP
hey thanks for this man, any further info yet?
Have yet to hear any first years get above 55k tbh, highest 2nd year bonus I've heard is 70k
that's rough, seems to be the case across most groups?
Yup consistent across groups, I've been told on numerous occasions that the analyst bonus pool is bank-wide, so just because your group is killing it doesn't really impact the analysts as much (although I heavily disagree with that approach)
It does still sound like any first year deemed "bottom bucket" received $0, regardless of how their group did. But otherwise top-bucket is down $10k from last year from what I understand, which seems fairly consistent across MM banks?
Jefferies paid $0 for bottom buckets?? That kind of sounds too ridiculous to be true... If it’s true then I feel really bad especially because most analysts are working even longer hours during covid
