Pay depends whether it is housed under commercial banking or IB
This group is in commercial banking. Pay around 90k all in. You’re prolly looking at limited exits
Decent group within Commercial. JPM does not pay well for commercial banking. Other banks outside of the top 5 will pay you more.
Is this for more senior roles (associate and above)? Starting Analyst programs with commercial banking seem to pay what other banks would offer.
The team is extremely small and the work they are doing is similar to IB DCM. However it is still CB. You would be better off doing IB somewhere else than CB at JPM
Roommate is in the group. Pay is $100k for first year analysts and bonus is ~40%. Hours are equal to DCM, but deals are smaller. Housed in the credit markets department within the commercial bank, which contributes to the lower pay. Everyone is supportive in the group, but until pay matches IB-DCM turnover will continue to be extremely high (most leave after 1-2 years). Exit are very solid with most going to private credit. If you’re interested in MM Private Credit this is a very good option. Good job overall
