JPM Over-hiring SA classes?
I'm an incoming SA at JPM and have heard from ppl that JPM typically overhires summer interns, especially in major markets, which leads to low FT return offers being given out.
Is this accurate? If so, how screwed would I be for FT recruiting should I not get a JPM return offer?
Thanks guys
Whether they do or don't is out of your control. What is in your control? Coming in well prepared, working hard, having a positive attitude, attention to detail etc. Take a few PPT courses prior to getting there, put in the work now. Let it motivate you to be the best in your class. Doesn't mean the biggest hardo, it means someone who is known to do good work, minimal mistakes, smart, good attitude. You got it, you're going to get a return offer.
Are you new to this forum? These juniors don’t want mature advice about working hard and doing their best. They want pointers on how to avoid sweaty groups and the easiest path to offers. Please take your good advice somewhere else, thanks.

To directly answer your questions: yes this is true and fairly known. Agree with the above poster nothing you can do now but crush your summer and get the offer.
FWIW, buddy did not get a return and landed another very solid FT opportunity so it's not all or nothing.
