Junior year internships after transfer?

I'm a freshman at a low-ranked school with a 3.9 interested in investment banking, and have plans to try to transfer to a top school for my junior year (ibanking opportunities are not the first or only reason i want to transfer). Sophomore year, i'll try to get any sort of internship I can, then ideally if I transfer to a better university, I'll have a better chance of getting an ibanking internship as opposed to my current school where no one is anywhere.

Is this possible? When I apply for junior year summer, will I be treated as less competitive than other applicants from the same school because I recently transferred from a crappier school? I've been researching and reading articles related to this but none pertain to that specific situation. thank you.
