Keeping a level head

Was wondering if anyone had tips for staying sane in IB - obviously covid in banking was brutal for for a lot of juniors and it’s definitely caused some fall out in my (and I’m sure many other analysts/asos’) personal life. Any comments would be much appreciated. Lot of unsureness / self doubt going on and looking to figure out how to reorient my perspective on work and my career and maintain a better balance

I think not caring too much is one. And by that I mean don't get emotionally invested. If you make a mistake, obviously you need to know not to do that again, but don't get down on yourself. I'm not seeing you need to go emotionally numb, but a little bit of that helps at work (not in your personal life). When my associate sends me an email with something I probably should have done, but didn't do, I don't let my stress level climb, I just shrug it off and get the work done.

I just communicate when I'm going to be gone/unavailable. You can also just switch your Skype so you're always yellow. then you don't feel the pressure as much.
