Kelley 2025

What are your takes on the Kelley business school as of 2025?  Is their placement for IB only based out of the IBW? How does it compare to other schools such as Fordham or Rutgers? If you don't get into the workshop, does it still go from semi-target to non-target instantly?

What are your takes on the Kelley business school as of 2025?

Too general to answer, sorry.

Is their placement for IB only based out of the IBW?

No, but the IBW alone sends about 70 kids a year. The rest of Kelley sends about 80 more a year. That's about 700 finance majors and 150 kids going into IB. Hard to say how many recruit for IB specifically as Deloitte sponsors every 3rd building at the school.

How does it compare to other schools such as Fordham or Rutgers?

Better, all else equal.

If you don't get into the workshop, does it still go from semi-target to non-target instantly?

The IBW is a target, but calling a club a target is asinine. The IBW sends ~70 kids a year to IB = 1/3, 1/3, 1/3 b/w MM, BB, and EBs (Jefferies, Moelis get like 6 kids each a year and MS does not recruit at all FYI). There will maybe be 1 IBW student each cycle that doesn't place and 1 other kid that does product at Apple or whatever.

Not in any workshop or the IBS (Investment Banking Seminar) = low semi-target. Only MMs and French/Japanese banks recruit. Stephens, SMBC, Mizuho, Credit Agricole, among others.

Please research the CMBW (Capital Markets and Banking Workshop) too.

Thank you very much.

I dont want to bet into getting to the IBW, so worse case scenario, would I be better off at Fordham or UW Maddison? Or is non IBW Kelley still better than other semi targets? Thanks
