It’s a solid brand in a small pond (i.e., the DC metro banking ecosystem)

Historically good dealflow with commensurate reputation for sweatiness

Did you end up getting any good insight into culture and the firm’s trajectory? My firm has gotten a wave of junior applicants from Kipps folks and I haven’t been able to tell if it’s a coincidence or if there’s an exodus underway

 

Last I've heard KDS was in a little bit of a pickle as they leaked info to the russians that was integral to our national security. Whoopsies!

 

Kipps is a solid LMM shop. There are a couple better MM shops in DC (Baird, HL) and a number of better MM shops generally (Baird, HL, HW, etc.). But a far as LMM ADG shops they are at the top of the pile, comparable banks are places like Mclean Group.
