Lateral apps (same firm multiple positions)
Is applying for multiple lateral positions for the same firm over time generally seen as bad in the context of lateral recruiting?Say, if one applies to a position that gets taken by another candidate but then networks/applies to a new opening of the same firm and goes further in the process, will that track record impede candidate profile at some point in the interview cycle? In other words, should one network first for a specific position that may open up in the future and have a 'one and done' attitude or just cast a wider net and assume applying to the same firm multiple times won't impact things?
Asking because I just wanna get tf out, have a rather specific group/industry preference but at the same time would not at all oppose a slightly different position given an offer
