Lateral before hitting the desk?

Incoming analyst at top BB (GS / MS). Is there anyway to lateral to other BBs or EBs?

Would like to know if this is possible too. Starting in June at another bank but would very much consider a better place if the opportunity was there. What risks do I run with this? Would be transitioning from a no-name firm to a larger one for better exit opps / culture fit.

1st years getting bolder and bolder. I would say best choice would be to talk to your network and try to get a referral somewhere. I would say the hard part is that there's not really any formal recruiting for the incoming 1st year class starting in the summer as classes are set. Most online job applications to lateral will be more geared towards people with 1/2 years of experience. Would lean on your network and try to see if someone needs extra analysts. Your firm won't like that you left before you even started but if you never plan on working there again then who cares
