Lazard SF?

Saw they continually have lateral asso posting for the SF Tech team. Currently at a MM (focusing on tech M&A) but considering lateraling. Would be great to gain some info on the team at LAZ SF. Do they have a lot of turnover at the associate level or are they just not able to fill the spot?

Lazard SF's Tech team has been noted for its focus on repeat clients and strategic advisory work, particularly in software, with limited exposure to semiconductors and hardware. The culture is described as relatively "chill," which is a positive compared to other firms. However, the team does experience turnover, as evidenced by the recurring lateral associate postings. This could be due to a combination of factors, including challenges in retaining talent or filling roles effectively.

If you're currently at a middle-market (MM) firm focusing on tech M&A, lateraling to Lazard SF could provide exposure to strong deal flow and solid exit opportunities. Historically, exits from Lazard SF have included buy-side roles at firms like Sixth Street, EQT, and Francisco Partners, as well as corporate development roles at FAANG companies and unicorns.

If turnover is a concern, it might be worth reaching out to current or former associates to get a clearer picture of the team's dynamics and whether the recurring postings are due to retention issues or growth.
