LMM Looking to Lateral Out
Currently a 1st year at a LMM shop in NYC. My team is half great guys who can get shit done, and the other half washed-up or brain-dead MDs. My pay is way below street - got essentially no bonus. Half of the deals are terrible, but mostly public markets with maybe a third being private or M&A. Very lean deal team and I am the only junior capable of doing actual work. We don't do much real modeling so need to learn a lot of that myself in free time.
Really could use some guidance on what my realistic exits are to MM (are BB even possible?). Has anyone gone through a similar experience?
Bump. Same situation.
