Long Game Networking

I got a late start finance world and was an aggressive networker after graduation. I've been in my current role for about a year, and while I enjoy the work and my team's culture, I have likely fallen off the radar of the folks who gave me advice during my job search. Many of these connections were either alumni or family friends in the industry.

Any tips on how to reconnect with some of these folks - can I take advantage of the upcoming holiday season or is that too cliche? In that same vein, any tips on how to maintain a semi-continuous dialogue with these folks - is there a certain cadence to follow that is appropriate? I'd like to develop a stronger relationship with them so that if I am looking to transition in 2-3 years I'm not just some 'needy post grad' looking for a job.
