Longevity in IB - focusing on the long haul
I'm currently consultant that will be matriculating into a top 15 MBA (Darden/Fuqua/etc.) program in the fall and I am considering using this opportunity to switch over to IBD as I have a major interest in finance.
Since, post-MBA associates are typically hired with the intent of being career-bankers, I was wondering how long career-bankers actually stay in the banking career? Is there an age where banks kindly ask you to "retire?" Is it atypical for Senior Bankers to be 50+ in age?
