Lost Series 7 and 63 over FINRA Confusion

I finished my last 4 of 10 continuing ed modules (I was not working in the banking industry but wanted to stay current).  I called FINRA and there was a massive misunderstanding on completion dates with me and a new rep.  Because of that, I missed my final completion date by a week, and FINRA wouldn't even pull the call transcripts.

Now I am hoping to restart my career in banking.  FINRA says I can file for a Series 7 waiver but I lost my 63.  I also would have to take the 79 which I don't think is related to my waiver request.  What are the chances a new employer would let me file a waiver on their behalf and is it really hard to get one through?

Quick background:  2 years IBD, 13 years in credit trading, MBA.  I think that was on the list of things FINRA will take into account.

Thanks kindly for any advice or help.

Eric
