Low credit score - background check
I'll be starting an analyst job at a BB and recently missed a few credit card payments (come from a poor family and the pandemic has been tough). Would a poor credit score get my offer rescinded? If it does raise a red flag, should I let HR know before the background check?

From my understanding it’s more about bankruptcies and serious notices..my roommate defaulted on a credit card in college and works at BB alongside me
No
No - they're looking for bankruptcies and fraud.
I meant to PM
You guys sure?
Not representing this as guaranteed and no one else can either. The reality is they can deny you for whatever reason they want but highly unlikely to deny you over a credit score or having something in collections for a trivial amount. Especially if you're young. I got into Bank of America having $260 in collections and a credit score in the 500s as a 21 year old.
It depends how much K’s in debt you are. I got denied my first internship way back when because I was 20k in debt after a car accident. Hopefully you aren’t that deep in but worth making sure.
