Made $4.5 million in the stock market at 22

I just started my job in NYC and am questioning the purpose of living this life that we all idolize. For reference, I've been trading since I was 13 and honestly, can really only attribute my success in the market to investing in companies I think would be valuable in 5 years time. I'm not some genius trader with advanced algorithms. The bulk of my success has been in NVDA and since the SanDisk IPO. People close to me know that I have made good money in the market but nowhere near the extent that is actually in my account. Sometimes I think of just retiring honestly and being a fisherman in Greece or something. Is it even worth slaving in Finance? Please give advice.

I’ve been in this position during the crypto run but was a few years older than you. What I did is irrelevant vs my advice (and ultimately what I wish that I did)

If you’re at a point where you’re posting on a forum, it’s probably time to sell.

I would

a) sell, and put it in dividend stocks/etfs

b) dividends should be enough to cover your rent and simple life expenses

c) keep your job, or find a new one you really like and keep living normally, using your income to invest more and obviously enjoy life a bit more

Hope you play this well. Congrats to you
