Managing your finances (getting an accountant)

Do most analysts get accountants to manage their money and minimize taxes, or is there more of a do-it-yourself mentality? I have limited experience filling out tax forms and don't know if it'll be incredibly hard to do it once I get banking money. But I also can't imagine having enough time to do it if it's time consuming? Any experience guys? Thanks.
