Masters Degree Thread

I'm a graduating senior currently without a FT offer. I'd imagine there are others like me on this forum. Getting a 1 or 2 yr Masters degree is a legit option for me now and I'd like to hear what informed people have to say about it.

As i understand it, there are masters programs in Finance, Finance+Accounting, Financial Engineering, etc... Best schools are LSE, Oxbridge, Princeton, Stanford, Columbia. I want to work in trading at either a BB, prop shop or HF.

For those of you that work in said places: - does getting a Masters degree hurt/help/not affect job prospects toward that end? - what degree (im guessing financial Engineering) is best? - what else should I consider before I start applying?

Thx

Actually I'd say that's false. I know a couple of people in the program at Princeton now who are definitely not math psychos. They had solid grades at non-target undergrad, good recommendations and a decent internship or bit of work experience.
