Math/CS or Engineering?

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to decide where to apply ED. I would like to have the option of working on the east coast after I graduate.

I'm thinking I'll try to dual major in Math and Computer Science, as I'm interested in more quant type jobs on Wall Street.

Option 2, I'm thinking I'll try to major either in Engineering or Computer Science & Math.

Would it be possible to find a job with a west coast firm and eventually transfer to its east coast office? 

Anything else I should consider?

Harvey Mudd is not a huge brand in the northeast, although it is well respected among people who know it. Don't forget that most large firms have a big presence in the SF bay area and often in Los Angeles as well.

In my opinion, engineering is more highly valued and more versatile than CS/Math, (although there's certainly nothing wrong with CS/Math, myself being a mathematics major). If you have a change of heart and want to do tech, an engineering degree will be very helpful to you.

Brands are your friend though, and for that reason alone, I'd lean toward Amherst if you want to go east coast, even though I think the Harvey Mudd degree is the better education.
