Mid-career switch into healthcare IB

Hi, so I am currently a consultant for a life sciences consulting company. Thinking about a switch to a healthcare-focused IB (maybe a industry analyst or equity research associate). Would appreciate some help.

first, my background: top 5 undergrad business school, 2 years at a top 3 consulting firm, MD and MBA degree (tier 1 MBA) and 1.5 years at my current role in healthcare-specific consulting.

I have been contacted by recruiters for IB roles such as "industry analyst" or "equity research associate" -- in which they say I will work hand in hand with Managing Directors of healthcare-focused IBs (most full service).

My questions are: -What do these roles look like in the hierarchy of IB org charts? Would I "be starting over," or essentially lumped in with 25 year olds with 3 years of IB experience within these organizations? Is there something special about "working hand in hand with a managing director -- like a fast track? -What type of hours am I look at with this role? I currently work 65-70, but don't want to go too crazy here. -What is the salary for this type of position, given my background?

Thanks -- I admittedly know little to nothing about the IB space.
