Just realized that my resume has a typo where for one of the headers there isn't a space between two words. My Word document did not have this issue but it seems in converting it to a pdf it had this error. I sent this out to my top choice IB firms. Should I send HR an updated resume?

You can often reupload it in the portals, try that first. I would not go out of your way to send it to HR though, it won't get replaced and it's just begging them to find an error on it
I usually give people the benefit of the doubt if it's just one small thing like this
