Mizuho DCM
Can anyone speak to the franchises DCM desk please? Really interested in transitioning to DMC and exploring all banks. Curious where they sit on league tables. They don’t appear on the top 10 for bonds, but they are on the top 10 for loans

Why DCM?
Been doing coverage for a couple years. Just over it with the bullshit it entails and the hours and random weekends getting blown up. I find DCM to be a good mix of capital markets and banking which is where I’d like to be. Wanted to try becoming a trader but don’t think that’s possible given my background. Plus the hours are better. Great wlb (from what I’ve heard) and overall very stable given the constant issuances from companies
I thought corporate banking coverage wasn’t like this?
Mizuho DCM is good. Lots of ex JP Morgan and ex RBS guys

They have been a top 10 corporate DCM house for several years now and finished last year top 5.
are exits strong for DCM compared to coverage groups?
