MM & Boutique IBD Compensation
Anyone else here joining a middle-market firm? Coming from a "semi-target" type school, I ended up accepting an offer from a MM firm based in San Francisco. If anyone is in a similar situation (in SF, NYC, Chicago, or elsewhere), can you shed some light on your analyst compensation packages? It seems that analyst compensation at MM firms ranges pretty widely from on par with BB's to as much as $15k below for base-salary. My offer was $50k Base + a handful of stock options. I'm just wondering how this compares to other MM firms (or boutiques)...
65 base in NYC for a MM firm. NY MM firms generally pay 10-15k above SF MM's because NY hours are generally more and there are so many NY MM's, salaries have to be competitive so people dont walk.
I would love to hear what others at MM's in SF, NYC and Chicago are making.
60 base 10 sign on for my mm in SF. This year, all first years made >100K
55k + 10k signing for a MM in Virginia
70 base NY... not sure about bonus, but I hear its up to par
70 Base... Isn't that 10k more than the BB's pay for base (not counting signing bonus)? Why is it that a MM firm would pay higher than the BB level?
