Morgan Stanley's Media & Telecoms Group

Any info on MS' Media & Telecoms group in NYC? Culture and hours, preferably. Would also be interested in prestige of the group and whether they execute their own deals or if they just pitch and pass most of the execution onto product groups. I know MS TMT is solid in Menlo Park, but this is for the NY office. Thanks.

like eiffel said, they work you to the bones. it's considered the most intense group outside of M&A. the group does all execution within the group. culture - they are tight-knit at the junior level although relations b/w junior and senior bankers is strictly professional and the senior bankers are not afraid to ruin your weekends with work. the upside is that they will go to bat for you once PE recruiting starts. i know a guy going to a top sector-specific fund (Silver Lake, Providence, etc.). i would argue that its the top group behind M&A (others would says Sponsors)
