Morning Podcasts - Gimme Your Best Shot
Hey all,
What podcasts are people listening to these days? I'm interested in deal / business news, but also general entertainment. I usually go for the ringer or the economist.
Just opening up the discussion and trying to spice up my subway ride. Gimme your best picks.

Big fan of NPR's Nightly Business Report. They record it around 9pm every night and recap everything that happened in the market that day in about 25 minutes... good quick listen during the morning commute.
This (although it’s produced by CNBC not NPR).
Btw @CopiousAmountsOfFinance" might be the best username on this site... +SB
Just tried Nightly Business Report. Definitely worth +SB.
The Tim Ferris Show Freakonomics Bloomberg Surveillance Bloomberg P&L
Agree on the bottom 3. After following Tim Ferriss for years I find it boring now :S
Invest like the Best by Patrick Equity by TechCrunch a16z The Way I Heard It by Mike Row. Usually pretty entertaining.
+SB for a16z - they make great content
How I Built This
Love How I Built This and Invest Like the Best

Not a podcast, but for written content my two go-tos are Matt Levine's daily column and the Bullpen news weekly email. I dont always love Matt's topics, but his writing style is great
Matt Levine is awesome. Bullpen great as well.
For tech stuff, I'm a big fan of stratechery
Bullpen is best read of week - hands down
MFCEO
If you aren't already an AWL, Pardon My Take for entertainment.
JRE
20 Minute VC
Like this and a16z stuff
I cover healthcare so I like "A Healthy Dose" with Steve Kraus (Bessemer Ventures) and Trevor Price (Oxeon Partners).
Also Bloomberg Masters in Business is great cus Barry gets fantastic guests and usually has some great conversations. The interview with the dude who wrote the book about Theranos (great book, check it out) is one of the most interesting podcasts I've ever heard.
This is great list. Thank you
Going Deep with Chad and JT
Capital Allocators by Ted Seides is a good listen. Interesting enough to make you turn it on. Monotone enough to zone out to or multitask with.
Good mix!
My favorites are WSJ What's News and NPR Up First. I also like NYTimes The Daily if I have time, but those tend to be in-depth coverage, so I only really listen if I am interested in the topic.
I did a blog post here on my daily news routine in case anyone is interested.
Masters of business is also a good podcast. Not daily, but they get good investors like Howard Marks, Ray Dalio, Jack Bogle etc.
I'm a fan of anything with Howard Marks. His recent piece on COVID was $$
