Moving around as a Niche Group Analyst
Niche product group, semi-target, OK GPA, but excellent bank (Top BB/EB). PE seems pretty interesting to me at the moment, but from reading on WSO, lateraling is definitely the move. I don’t mind “redoing” a year (AN 2 -> AN 1 start). What’s the strategy/process for an analyst like myself? How do I best “market” myself to move to a better group (coverage/m&a/maybe rx)? Given the brand name of my bank is good, should I aim for lateral to another top bank? Also aware that the market for laterals isn’t the best as well.
