Moving from a mid- market bank to a bulge bracket bank

I currently work for a big 4 in m&a deal advisory and I want to make the move to IB

If I move to a mid market IB first, how difficult would it be to then move to a bulge bracket bank?

Can anyone also please share insights on how to prepare for interviews moving into IB as a senior analyst/ associate level please? What kind of case studies can I expect for the interview? Including what kind of financial modelling assessment?

Many thanks

No I have just started applying but want to make a move within the next 2 months and thought I may have better luck getting into a mid-market in that time frame. I just want to consider what my longer term options will be if I move to mid-market etc
