MS IBD - Need to Disclose 2026 Buyside Offer for New Compliance Policy??
Got an email from compliance saying that analysts must disclose any deferred employment arrangements (such as buyside offer) in the company OBI (Outside Business Interests) system. Analysts will have to fill out what buyside firm they will be joining and their expected start date.
Is this even allowed?? What if you just don't disclose?

Sounds like they're following JPM after this was introduced last cycle (clause in the offer letter). wouldn't be surprised if all BBs adopt this knowing attrition/retention will always be a problem for large analyst classes

Bump. What if you’re at a group that’s very much against PE recruiting? Wouldn’t you be shooting yourself in the foot by disclosing an offer?
