MS Menlo is a major revenue generator for the firm so imagine comp is better than most groups, but you will get worked much harder than other MS groups due to the deal flow.

One of my roommates is at MS Menlo and apparently the culture there is absolutely horrendous, with attendance being taken at 9:30am every morning. There’s also a very infamous account at the group that is basically a living hell, and the unlucky analysts on that particular account have basically 100% of their capacity tied up for months working on the most grueling tasks till 5am everyday. Definitely the roughest group at MS in terms of culture and workload, so hope they at least get paid as such.

what sectors do they cover over at ms menlo and how does that break out proportionally?

Taking attendance every morning sounds crazy. How is that even done?

Feels like a symptom of horrible culture and leadership, treating employees like middle schoolers.

I have a friend who works there bonus was terrible given how many hours they work

i get banking hours and hours at top group (ms menlo) can be shit, but give me a break. 5 am everyday is just ridiculous like cmon.

i would imagine more realistically at a place like ms menlo hours are like until 2am/3am consistently? (7 days a week, maybe one day off if you're lucky) so ~100?
