Both have edges in different subverticals of tech over the other. Great experience either way, top tier exits. If you're considering between two offers though, gotta go GS just because it is in SF... no shot would I consider living in menlo in my early 20s personally
Just to follow up, what are the differences between the strength in subverts that you've seen (heard GS may be stronger in software as a whole)?
Also have you heard anything on culture between the 2? Have obviously heard both r sweaty and such, but really don't know anything past that
GS culture significantly better. Roommate used to work there & we had friends at MS. Think they still take attendance / roll call these days (not joking - but others keep me honest)
Interesting, heard from someone else they stopped doing that but good to know. Honestly both offices seem equal to me so trying to find any difference in considering them, between subverts, deal flow, etc.
MS stronger in equities (IPO), GS all else and still on fair share of IPOs
If I had both offers in hand I’m signing GS on basis of culture, in SF vs South Bay, more diversified experience (ie TMT vs just tech), the good reps / exposure cancels out with MS
