Navigating Chronic Health Issues in IB

Hello, I’m an incoming analyst in IB in a sweaty group. Although, my group does have a relatively WFH friendly culture, and I am VERY grateful for that.

I have some chronic health issues which flared up from a severe medical emergency (hospitalization and was virtually unable to walk, but HIGHLY unlikely this will happen again) and was wondering how to navigate appointments and how to best communicate with staffers / deal teams about this. I’m uncertain how many appointments I will need, but I’m hoping not many since I’ve had some already. It’s been difficult as is and I’m working on getting to a better place with my health before I start FT, but it’s been tougher than expected. I know once I can get the perfect pharmaceutical cocktail and have my condition under control, my day-to-day will be almost normal with only a few days that suck.

Anyone have any similar stories, tips, or advice? Thanks in advance!
