Need Guidance from WSO

I am currently in my second semester in community college. I feel lost and need some guidance. A few questions I have

  • What clubs or Volunteer experience should I do?
I was treasurer of Student Government
I am volunteering with Habitat for humanity
  • Should I finish associates or Transfer before ?
-Should I wait to do internship when I transfer or try to land something relevant?
    Any guidance will be helpful.
    Background: highschool dropout

Join any club that you think you would enjoy, that does not detract from your grades, meet people and build a network.

Get your GPA a high as possible. Meet with a school guidance counselor and determine the best path to a degree/transfer.

Take advantage of all available resources - guidance counselor, counseling, groups/clubs, health care, tutoring, etc.

With a 4.0 and solid EC's/Essays you're a fit to transfer to many schools. The more genuine your application is the better, so just join whatever clubs you have interest in and spend a lot of time on your ESSAYS. I'm assuming you're gonna be applying to transfer a year from now?

PM me for any advice. I transferred from CC to a target, in the middle of SA20 recruiting right now. It's an uphill grind but pays off.

If possible I would just am investing club of some sort if that’s not available, then start reading Rosenbaum (investment banking and LBO by rosenbaum and pearl, if I’m not mistaken). Try to find out if these schools have a program to transfer in after an associate degree or if they have a pipeline program you could transfer into but utilize all your resources. Use WSO like it’s the holy text for a cult you’re in. Start to understand the answers to interview questions. And also understand that which 4 year program you go to is going to impact your outlook and how much you will have to network to get to IB, ie understand which schools are target, semi, and non and how that will impact you. But guard your GPA like your life depends on it
