Need to vent abt internship

I’m almost halfway through of my internship at a PE firm and I don’t do anything throughout my days besides trying to look for work from associates and seniors. I’ve been setting up meetings to talk to different employees and trying to learn as much as I can but I feel like my experience here has no type of structure. To pass time, I’ve been teaching myself some skills in financial modeling and getting myself certified in some online courses. But other than that, I have nothing to do. The pay is great for an intern but I feel a bit uncomfortable because I’m used to roles where I’m actually needed to do work.

The set up of the office is kinda weird where no one has a set desk and everyone is on plain sight so I feel uncomfortable when I’m searching up financial modeling lessons on youtube lol. And also when trying to do my courses for my certification.

I don’t want them thinking I’m weird or lazy but there’s really nothing to do and I feel so silly for always asking them to give me some work.
