Nerfed SA NYC Housing Bonuses?
What are you guys getting for housing bonuses this year in New York? Usually it's $2,000 but this year I got $1,000. This is an SA offer for a BB/Elite Boutique. Hope this isn't a sign of pay cuts to come.
Not sure, but I got a SA position at a BB in HK and I asked the HR lady what the housing situation is like (I know in the past they usually provide housing) and she said that management was reviewing company policies and will get back to me when they figure it out.
I'm guessing you're at Lazard? I ended up at another very strong boutique and I'm not getting ANY housing stipend. However, I had an offer from another boutique which extended me a $3000 stipend. The BBs seem to have kept everything the same.
There probably haven't been any changes to the subsidies. What's $1000-$2000 for a bank?
That's normal... policy varies from bank to bank. I know last year, GS gave only $1000, while Lehman gave $4000, and other bank in between.
