Networking Advice - Networking event

So I went to a networking event yesterday and ended up talking to an MD at my BB for about 45 minutes. He was admittedly pretty drunk but he gave me his business card, told me he thought I was wasted in my current role (middle office Asset Management in a BB) and told me to keep in contact and try to move out of my role after 18 months. What do you guys think I should do? I have only just started this job so I don't want to seem like I'm itching for a move. Also he was fairly drunk so I don't want to make a fool of myself if he doesn't remember.
