New Outlook: Good or Bad???

My Fellow Lads (and Girls),

Its Sunday on a long weekend but I have a boat load of work to do. Thank you very much to my absolute beauty of an MD that made this possible.

Anyway - trying to clean up my inbox when I noticed this Try the new Outlook feature on my outlook. Have any of you beauties try this? Tested it out for a hot sec and it seemed pretty confusing to dwell in and get used to it.

Curious if you all like it and make your life better/easier?

Cheerio,

Batman and Robin

Based on the most helpful WSO content, there isn't a direct mention of the "new Outlook" feature, but there are plenty of tips for managing your inbox effectively, which might help regardless of the version you're using. Here are some key strategies:

  1. Inbox Organization: Many professionals recommend creating folders for deals, admin, and other categories. Subfolders can help further streamline organization.
  2. Action Items: Use your inbox as a to-do list. Flag emails that require action and archive those that don’t.
  3. Quick Responses: If an email can be addressed in under 2 minutes, respond immediately and archive it.
  4. Rules and Filters: Set up rules in Outlook to automatically sort newsletters, admin emails, and other non-urgent items into specific folders.
  5. BCC Yourself: For emails requiring follow-ups, BCC yourself and create a folder to track responses.
  6. Daily Clean-Up: Aim to start and end your day with a clean inbox. This helps maintain focus and reduces clutter.

If the new Outlook feels confusing, it might be worth sticking to the classic version until you have time to explore and adapt to the new interface. Experimenting with features like rules, quick steps, and view settings could also make the transition smoother.
